Open Source Education is when a college or university, a place of higher learning, offers their lessons, courses or degree programs on the Internet to anyone, anywhere, available all the time without a fee involved.
When schools begin to do this more readily, the general public has a greater chance to learn freely without the restriction of financial income. Websites like Wikipedia or Google already make information more accessible. Now it is time for post-secondary institutions to play their part in the expansion of humanity's knowledge.
Luminary College is my life-long goal to offer life teachings and advanced realizations to a growing community of like-minded individuals. I wanted to start a for-profit, privately owned college that wouldn't be under the educational regulations of the United States government. I felt this necessary to continually offer only the best in well-designed programs and remarkably written course lessons.
Besides the lessons themselves, open source education is the core foundation of Luminary College. We hope you appreciate what we are doing and what we continue to do in the years to come.
